It's been too long since my last one, how long have I been doing this now and I'm only on book's 11 and 12? I'm so slow! anway, let's get on with the reviews!
The time machine was interesting, more so that i expected it to be. It starts with the character simply called 'The time traveller' because that is what he does, he invents a machine that allows him to travel through time, he goes into the future and finds the human race has split into two very different beings. I won't say much more because I don't want to spoil the story for those who haven't read it. There is a lot of talk about science in the beginning that I wasn't a fan of but it only covers a couple of pages, then the story gets going. I definietely recommned this book, I've read it for an essay I had to write recently but I liked it so much I read it again (twice over a few weeks!) and it's very short, doesn't take long to read.
Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde was another book I read for class. Mr. Hyde is a strange character, said to be deformed in some way that isn't visibly apparent. Everyone who meets him are repulsed by him but they cannot say exactly why. A lawyer named Gabriel is trying to figure out why Dr.Jekyll is associating with the strange Mr.Hyde, and why Jekyll so suddenly changed his will to give all his posessions to Hyde. The books unravells when everyone discovers just who this mysterious Mr.Hyde is and why Dr. Jekyll feels such a strong need to protect him. Again, cannot say much more about plot than this but trust me there is a BIG plot twist! I really enjoyed this book, the plot is great, the characters interesting and it's very interesting from a pyschoanalitical p.o.v. I recommned it to everyone.
